Despite the size, it is easy to drive, be it in everyday traffic or when heading out on a weekend trip. It is effortless to manoeuvre or park due to the combination of light controls and the hybrid powertrain. Getting into motion from a standstill is performed in absolute silence due to the battery-motor driving force. The hybrid Hycross picks up speed smoothly and the transition to petrol power is only identifiable by some petrol engine noise. With the engine and hybrid system working together, power is strong all the way to triple-digit cruising speeds. The ride is composed and absorbent over broken or undulated roads and also feels stable at highway speeds. Negatives: In the dedicated EV driving mode, the battery can only run the car for a short distance before it runs out. The top variant’s 225/50 R18 tyres have a very low profile, which can get the rims damaged when driving over harsh roads. Positives: The Hycross is feature-packed with a panoramic sunroof, mood lighting, multi-zone climate control AC (front and rear), and roof-mounted AC vents. Like the standard Innova, the Hycross gets high seats and slim pillars that allow for a commanding view and also make driving easy. Inside its cabin, it's replete with leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, and an electric driver seat with memory function. Moreover, in terms of comfort and space, the second-row seats are large and well-cushioned, the legroom is incredible, and there is ample head and shoulder room.
