Petrol
3.7Positives: It is powered by a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, delivering 158bhp and 253Nm of torque, and is available with a six-speed manual or seven-speed DCT gearbox. This turbo-petrol engine provides solid mid-range power and overall quick responses, leading to smooth overtakes and highway driving. The seven-speed DCT offers smooth gear changes, with paddle shifters for manual control, adding to driving engagement. The three driving modes – Eco, Normal, and Sport – adjust the throttle and steering responses, and in Sport mode, the steering gains extra weight for a more engaging feel. The slightly hard suspension tuning enhances cornering stability with minimal body roll, lending confidence, especially at higher speeds. It has disc brakes on all wheels that ensure steady stopping power, further complementing the confidence to drive hard. Negatives: The slightly firm suspension setup of the Creta N Line makes the ride quality feel harder at slower speeds on urban bumps and potholes. There is a lack of response from the engine when moving from a standstill, particularly at low revs in the Eco mode. 3.7Positives: Gets a voice-enabled smart panoramic sunroof, which enhances the cabin ambience, coupled with an immersive Bose eight-speaker system to amplify sound quality. There is a 10.25-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. It has a dual-zone automatic temperature control (DATC), while the ventilated front seats ensure cool comfort during warm weather. The additional tech features include JioSaavn music streaming (free one-year subscription) and Bluelink connectivity with 70+ features, supporting remote vehicle controls and diagnostics. There’s an electric eight-way driver seat adjust and wireless charging, which elevate daily convenience. Negatives: The limited infotainment screen shortcuts may make some functions tricky to access while driving this SUV. Read more
Creta N Line Exterior and Interior Styling
3.7Positives: The N Line treatment brings sporty enhancements, like a distinctive grille with red highlights and a dual-tip exhaust for a striking on-road presence. It also gets 18-inch diamond cut alloys with the N logo, red brake callipers, and a sporty rear spoiler to reflect the model’s dynamic exterior styling. The Creta N Line has quad-beam LED headlights along with the unique horizon LED positioning lamp and DRLs, and a shark-fin antenna on the roof. The cabin gets exclusive N Line designs featuring red stitching, red ambient lighting, leatherette upholstery with the N logo, and metal pedals for a sportier ambience. Negatives: Some may find the red accents to be a bit too flashy, potentially limiting appeal. Interior materials on the lower trim (N8) feel less premium in comparison to those in the top variant (N10). Read more
Creta N Line Safety
3.6Positives: There are six airbags as standard, complemented by ESC, hill-start assist, and vehicle stability management for peace of mind driving. It is equipped with a dashcam, surround-view monitor and blind-spot view monitor that provide live visual aids and ensure safety. It has an ADAS package with 21 safety features for improved road safety like forward collision (avoidance assist), lane keeping assist, blind-spot collision avoidance, and smart cruise control. There are disc brakes on all wheels, which drastically improve braking capability and are confidence-inspiring under panic braking situations. Negatives: The Hyundai Creta N Line has not been tested yet for any crash test safety ratings. Some ADAS functions may feel overly sensitive in dense traffic, requiring user adjustment. Read more
Interior & Cargo Layout: The interior of the Tata Sierra is highly futuristic yet functional. The driver is greeted by a multi-screen cockpit that offers crisp graphics and fluid animations. The layout is clean, with minimal physical buttons. Passengers in the back enjoy excellent legroom, and the large panoramic roof adds to the airy feel of the cabin. Boot space is competitive and expandable via 60:40 split rear folding seats.
Value & Verdict: When comparing the features and driving dynamics against its mid-size competitors, the Sierra represents a solid proposition. Its blend of safety, design flair, and rich features makes it one of the most compelling options for buyers wanting a standout vehicle.
