The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol (making 158bhp/253Nm) tested by us felt smooth and responsive, while the DCT transmission performed superbly in traffic.

- ✗ The diesel powertrain could use more high-speed grunt.
- ✗ Despite improvements, the ride quality is still on the firmer side in the segment.
- ✗ The turbo-petrol engine isn’t very fuel-efficient, especially in city driving conditions.
- ✗ Some hard plastic elements feel out of place in an otherwise premium cabin.
