Mahindra BE 6 Price in Chennai

The big highlight of the BE 6's cabin is a twin-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated BE logo and touch capacitive controls. This unit is not new as all the recent Tata cars get this two-spoke steering wheel with a glow-up Tata logo. Other than that, the SUV’s dashboard is dominated by a twin-display setup with AC vents and a centre console arm that divides both front passenger spaces. Another interesting addition is a strap-like door grab handle on the inside, which adds a nice touch to the cabin of the BE 6. A few notable features include wireless mobile charging, automatic climate control, drive modes, panoramic sunroof, 16-speaker Harman Kardon-sourced music system, and OTA updates.

The BE 6 retains most of the design elements from the concept car. Some of these include the C-shaped LED DRLs, aero-spec dual-tone alloy wheels, sloping roofline, glossy black body cladding, full-length LED light bar on the tailgate, new Mahindra twin peaks logo, and a chunky rear diffuser. Inside, the Mahindra BE 6 boasts a new two-spoke multifunction steering wheel with a backlit BE logo, dual digital screen housing the driver's display and infotainment system, and an airplane-inspired gear lever. Additionally, the centre console houses a drive mode selector, front armrest, engine start-stop button, and cup holders. Also up for offer is an augmented heads-up display and a Level 2 ADAS suite. There are four colours to choose from - Firestorm Orange, Desert Myst, Everest White Satin, and Tango Red.

Key safety features include seven airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, EPB, auto park assist, and a 360-degree camera. The Mahindra BE 6 has not been tested yet for any crash test safety ratings.

The BE 6 is available with 59 and 79kWh battery packs paired with a single electric motor powering the rear wheels. The highest state of tune offered will be 281bhp and 280Nm of torque. Mahindra claims a range of 682km on a single full charge as per the MIDC cycle. Using a 175kW charger, the battery can be recharged from 20-80 per cent in 20 minutes. The 79kWh version of the Mahindra BE 6 powers a single rear-axle-mounted that produces 282bhp of power and 380Nm of torque. This RWD electric SUV gets a single gear transmission, and can go from zero to 100kmph in just 6.7 seconds and has a driving range of 683km (claimed figures). The 180kW DC fast charger can juice the BE 6 up from 20 per cent to 80 per cent in just 20 minutes, while the 11.2kW AC charger takes 6 hours to charge it from zero to 100 per cent.
